From our biomechanical testing, we found that the best location for our third sensor was on the hand. We also found that gripping the club differently skewed results, and having to move the sensor every time a different club was used hindered the full K-VEST experience. Our feedback from the hand sensor has been extremely positive.

Yes – our brand new K-VEST Level 3 Certification Program is specifically designed to provide information pertaining to motion analysis in six degrees of freedom. This online educational program will include best practices for 6D swing analysis and specific biofeedback training programs for lift, sway and thrust.
Sensors are placed on the pelvis, upper body and lead hand. This is the exact same set up as the 3D system.
The 6D system provides the user the ability to digitize bony landmarks to make the calibration process more specific to that player’s body. We use 14 digitizing points to ensure we are accurately marking the pelvis, thorax and lead hand.
One of the primary differences between 3D and 6D is the technology being used. Our 3D solution uses inertial sensors, while the 6D system uses electromagnetic sensors. Both technologies use our K-VEST Unleashed software platform that provides the most intuitive 3D and 6D analysis in the industry.
